Quality Assurance throughout Production
Green Comfort prides itself on the quality and material superiority of it floor products. The company has invested exhaustive resources into strict quality control measures and adopted superior auxiliary materials to improve overall product quality. To ensure the strength and quality of the bamboo used in production, harvested bamboo is aged 4-6 years. Each of the products available in the flooring series are made in a single manufacturing factory with numerous quality control checks along the assembly line. The combination of random and planned inspections helps ensure an overall high level of quality which simply can not be matched by retailers who source from a multitude of factories offering the lowest cost.
UV Protection and Gloss Coating
The coating materials used by Green Comfort floors are first class. The floors are machine coated for consistency (6 coats) as opposed to the hand coating process many other manufacturers use. Layers of Aluminum-Oxide are applied and then cured with an intense UV ray. The resulting finish is at least five (5) times more durable than a traditional Swedish Finish. The durable finish helps prevent “traffic patterns” where the finish is worn away in heavily used areas.
Aluminum-Oxide is an inert and non-toxic material that does not have harmful gas by-products associated with the Swedish finish.
Building a Lifetime Floor
Most home owners will only purchase a new floor one time. It's important that
you select a lifelong floor that will last as long as you own your home. With
many imitations and inferior products on the market, you need to be careful
that you are purchasing the best quality bamboo flooring available. Bamboo
Style's Green Comfort floors are backed by an unprecedented limited lifetime warranty.
Quality assurance goes into ever step of our production.
Bamboo floors are manufactured by cutting bamboo into strips, boiling, then
drying and laminating planks. Green Comfort's Solid Bamboo Floors are
constructed by joining strips of bamboo together with a special European
adhesive to create a floor plank. Planks have tongue and grooved edges to fit
together just like typical hardwood floors. Planks can be manufactured either
by horizontal pressing or vertical pressing.
The horizontal grain floors orient the wider horizontal edge of the splits upwards, making the bamboo “nodes” more pronounced; creating a more uniform plank. The vertical grain floors creates a narrow pattern of lines about 3/16” apart which results in a more homogenous style.
